Andrew is known around town as "Underdog".

Andrew's first radio appearance was at the age of 3 when he was part of a commercial promoting his father's radio station As he grew up, he hung out in studios and learned all about how to make things sound great. He had his own radio show by his teens and started recording neighborhood bands around the same time.

He moved to the Valley in 2000, and started his recording studio shortly after getting here. It's moved several times, but is now settled into the location at 65 S Sycamore.

While he's working with state of the art gear, he knows it's not the equipment that makes for great sound, it's how you use it. He's been told he has "million dollar ears" and he knows how to draw the best out of just about any band or artist.

Kristen Taylor is an owner and engineer / producer at Underdog Studios.

With a very strong background in live sound as well as playing in bands and writing music herself for the past 10 years she is a great asset to really take a bands recording to the next level.

Kristen has an all round love for music and making things sound the best they possibly can. Having worked with many bands and artists from A-listers on big stages to small locals just getting off the ground, no project is to big or small.

James has been a part of the Underdog family since it's beginning. He is a well rounded engineer with a passion for great audio.

With an extensive background in recording, producing, and mixing live sound, as well as writing and performing music, James has the experience and skills needed to make every recording reach it's highest potential.

Since completing the Music Production and Recording program at Mesa Community College in 2006, James has continued to expanded his knowledge of audio and gained valuable experience in the studio and in live settings. When he's not turning knobs here at Underdog Studios you can find James at Front of House or in Monitor World mixing bands on both national and local levels.

Ricardo Lozano is one of the most sought after Spanish Rock producers in Arizona. Graduate of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences.

In 2004 he opened a home recording studio called Reel~2~Real. He was also the Head Engineer at the Real Bar in Tempe AZ during the same time.

He has worked with many local artists including Fayuca. He Produced and Engineered their 2008 "The Assassination" Album, which was his first solo produced/engineered Album. This open many new doors and projects for him. In 2010 Ricardo worked with Universal Latino on a Spanish Rock Album By Mona Sol allowing him to be apart of the 2011 Latin Grammys in Las Vegas.

Ricardo is now part of the talented team of Producers and Engineers at Underdog Studios.  This gives him the opportunity to provide both talents as a Composer/Musician and as a Producer to bands and artists needing a great sounding recording and that little extra magic needed to make an amazing album.
